Maybe there’s something about being your father’s son, something more than anyone could ever hope to define.
Since the beginning, you’ve been able to recognize what the other’s feeling with only a look. Maybe that’s what drives fathers and sons apart for a time, until they’re ready to reconcile the fact that there can be no secrets between them.
Then, when the space is right, they both find they have an awful lot to say; a lot they remember and a comfort in sharing this golden thread of lineage between them.
So you can see how we smile and how we walk around a room, and then you know it never ends but reverberates, from father to son.
